Hiroshi Sugimoto｜Solo exhibition at the Shoto Museum of Art

The solo exhibition “Hiroshi Sugimoto Honkadori Azumakudari” is now being held at the Shoto Museum of Art, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
The exhibition includes the premiere of Sugimoto’s new work Mt. Fuji which incorporates Katsushika Hokusai’s Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji. Also shown is Iroha-Uta (47 Characters) from the latest Brush Impression series, the series now on view at Gallery Koyanagi. This exhibition shows the evolution of Sugimoto’s art, a world encompassing photography as well as a variety of other artistic fields and expressions in which contemporary art repeatedly harmonizes and intersects with classic works.
